Promotion

The Biomedical Device Technology Program, under the Department of Electronics and Automation at Aksaray University, Aksaray Vocational School of Technical Sciences, admitted its first students in the 2021–2022 academic year, marking the beginning of its educational activities.

The programs offered within the department have an education period of four semesters (two years). Throughout their studies, students take both fundamental and field-specific vocational courses as well as project-based classes. The curriculum emphasizes hands-on training in laboratory environments, allowing students to strengthen their theoretical knowledge through practical applications.

As part of the program requirements, students complete a 30-working-day internship in public or private sector organizations related to Electronics or Biomedical fields, gaining professional experience in real-world settings. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are awarded the title of “Technician.”

Graduates of the program are qualified to meet the technical workforce needs of institutions and organizations operating in the fields of electronics and biomedical technologies, both in the public and private sectors.

In addition, graduates may apply to the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) administered by ÖSYM. Those who achieve a sufficient score are eligible to transfer to undergraduate programs such as Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or other related disciplines to pursue a bachelor’s degree.
